As a marketing type, I have an opinion on pretty much every bit of advertising I see. Being a human being, I see a lot of advertising. Quite frankly, most of it isn't very good. Ads in all their forms (print, radio, television, brochures, etc.) have become pretty formulaic and not very creative. But every now and then something really different catches my eye. If I see something I like or really dislike, I'll post it here to give you a little insight into the scary corners of my brain.

I subscribe to an advertising blog called AdRants. Each day the AdRants team collects the wild and wacky from the world of advertising and uses the black magic of email to deliver straight to me. It's a no holds barred look at the world of advertising with a insightful yet snarky edge. I highly recommend it. The other day they sent along a new trailer for a web-based game from Wilkinson razor. The entry from AdRants started with "This is good. Really good." I have to agree 100%. Instead of just saying: "Gillette stinks. Buy Wilkinson," they've come up with something really different. That's not easy to do.

When developing ad campaigns, there are two major hurdles: 1. Coming up with a fresh idea and 2. Being brave enough to execute it properly. These guys have done both. Bravo. So without further ado...
