Trapped Inside

(More blog entries from nate)

Beware the sinus infection.

I have been sick with a stupid Sinus Infection for the last two weeks. Antibiotics couldn't even cure it. The worst part is it rained very hard during these two weeks. Most would think that a rainy day is a good day to be sick on the couch but not for a kayaker. The late fall whitewater is some of the best as the water rises quickly because the leaves are off the trees and they don't suck all the moisture up that falls to the ground. The amount of water that heads to the streams and rivers this time of year vs. two months ago is tripled. Also, there isn't a whole lot of other activities that I am interested in this time of year. It was really hard for me to stay on the couch this week as it poured for a day straight. I'm sure you feel my pain.

I certainly would "feel your pain" if I attempted to go kayaking this time of year. Are you crazy !!! You could end up becoming an ice flow. So stay put and nurse that cold, sinus thingy. We need you to sell lots of ski equipment and get people motivated to ski and have fun in the snow and cold NOT the icy waters of the Ellis.

Thanks, Eds buddy. You are always looking out for me. Tell Ed, I have brought in a project for him to look at when he comes up this weekend for the big craft fair. I have a wood product that is starting to split. I need help fixing it and I think he's the man. Everyone should come to Great Glen to Ed Good's Wood Turning Demo. This guy knows what he is doing! Ed Good knows Wood!
