The Signs of Winter

(More blog entries from ryan)

Welcome to ?????

In case you hadn't noticed, it has snowed quite a bit this winter. No, really. A lot of snow.

It's evident on the trails, but it's really evident in the snowbanks. Pretty much every where you look, the snowbanks are huge. We've definitely hit the point of "Where are we going to put all this?"

What I find most amusing is all the signs that are buried. In order for many businesses to make themselves visible, the business owners have placed sandwich boards on top of the snowbank that has buried their regular sign. What happens when those get buried? Are we going to find multiple lost sandwich boards in the spring?

In other places, you'll be driving along and see a sign welcoming you to...well, somewhere. The bottom half of the sign is gone. Well, it's nice to be wherever I am!

Ryan - Great entry, but what happened to the next, best candidate to replace Steven Spielberg? Before the ice melts and gets littered with pine needles, can you give us warm weather fans a glimplse of JUST HOW HIGH the snow is this summer ... like videoing signs at ankle level, vids of bridges stacked with white stuff, or shots of the snow drifts around the building. Thanks.
