I like this place, I think I'll stay...

The moose like it at Great Glen too!

Last night around 6:45 pm Sue and I went for a little after work ski.  It was a beautiful winter evening with 18 degrees, a bit of a breeze and great fresh packed powder - and it's March 29!  We'd been hearing stories of a moose on the trails all day when excited / terrified skiers would come back to the lodge with their own memories of close encounters while skiing at Great Glen.  So with the skiing excellent and a good chance at seeing a moose up close we headed out.  Didn't have to go too far...

I saw her too, or at least I saw a moose who looked like her. She was eating pine boughs on Libby Trace. There were two skiers stopped above where she was, and I was below. We all turned around and let her eat in peace.

What a great way to END the season ... AND, you got it on film! The best photo I've ever gotten was a blur of a retreating Moose rear. I am sooo jealous.
