Designer Burger

YUMMMMM

If you were to design a "Meister Burger" what would be on it?

Mine would be between thin slices of french bread, cooked medium/well.  The hamburg itself would be rolled in a few spices with a small amount of diced onion.  Lettuce and tomato would accompany a thick slice of Cabot sharp cheddar.  Fairly basic, I know, but so am I.  Probably would top it off with ketchup and of course a side of those yummy fried potatoes.

Of course this Burger, at least initially, would only be available to our exclusive club that meets on Tuesdays "Nordic Meisters".  And this is no promise that Janet would actually create your dream burger, but if she could what would you come up with?

A veggie burger with bacon. What? I'm a recovering vegetarian.

Mmmm, nothing like a good burger. Mine would be a juicy hand-mixed beef patty with garlic, onions and cumin cooked medium-well served on a whole wheat Kaiser bun, lightly toasted, with Dubliner cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and garnished with ketchup and mayo. (I know a lot of people think it's gross to mix ketchup and mayo, but I love it). Janet, can we work something out?

First, I'm hoping Nate eats his burger just before going out for his run. It's good for you Nate, a nice competitive advantage. But I'll take my burger mixed with Lipton soup mix, charbroiled to medium rare with a nice slice of Grafton Village Cheese Stone House Cheddar on top. Place it between a toasted English muffin with romaine and tomato. Hand cut batter dipped fried onion rings on the side. Preferable with a Guinness or two. Yummmm!

My Meister Burger wouldn't be a burger in the beef sense. It would be a "Cornell" marinated chicken breast, grilled. Between two thick slices of toasted multigrain bread with lettuce, Harvarti cheese and mango chutney OR lettuce, brie, caramelized onions and Baby Bellas. Of course either would be accompanied by sweet potato fries!

My designer burger would not be designer, but just a good old-fashion burger! It would not have anything mix in with the hamburg and would be cooked med-rare! Nice slice of American cheese, lettuce and tomato on a bulky. Toss a couple of sliced dills on the side and a frosty Sam Adams draft. Now thats a burger!!

Burgers are good, but medium rare? Thats how you cook steak not burger! You guys are nuts. Any red in my Meister Burger, and it's back to the timing shack with that grillable.
