Alpine Azalea (Loiseleuria procumbens)

I've had a question about the Alpine Azalea (Loiseleuria procumbens) and whether they were in bloom in the Alpine Garden area.  Although I still haven't treked over there yet, I was in the Cow Pasture several days ago and took this shot so I'm sure they're well established in the Alpine Garden as well.  I'll try to get over there this week and report on what else is colorful right now.

Due to health reasons, my husband, scientific friends, and I cannot navigate the vertical access boulders path to the Alpine Garden area. However, if your drivers can report on Alpine Azaleas' progress along the Auto Road, that would help us immensely. We'll probably ascend on Mon. the 25th and July 1st, weather permitting!

The Azaleas in the photo are still out along the upper mile of the Auto Road. Also heard a report of Alpine Brook Saxifrage on the summit and Pale Laurel near Cragway Turn (5.5 miles up) but I haven't been up to see for my self.
