What's in a blog...
What makes a good blog?
As an fellow who's fairly savvy in the ways of the Internet.com, I find myself jumping around through a number of blogs. It's like a choose your own adventure book: it can just keep going and going and going. The best blogs out there are the ones that are constantly updated. New content everyday. With the increasing popularity of blogs, there are now a number of full time bloggers out there. Many of these guys will post a dozen or more times a time. Do I read everything? No. But, it's always fresh.
That brings me to the blog you're currently reading. Our blog is not always so fresh. In fact, at times it get quite stale. I've come up with a couple reasons for this. First, those of us around here have jobs, and some of us are even busy. We don't always have the time to post new entries in the blog. Second, I know that personally I might think of something that would be good blog fodder, but nix the idea for fear that it might not be completely pertinent to Great Glen Trails. I've come up with a solution for both these issues. I'm going to make a little piece of time everyday (or almost), and I'm going to pretty much post whatever pops into my head. Will it all be relevant? Probably not. Will it all be funny? Probably not. No matter. The goal of this blog was to give you a little insight into what goes on around here. If we hardly post, we're not doing a very good job.
With all that in mind, stay tuned for a new and improved Great Glen Trails blog. (I hope.)
