From the Summit

Thursday afternoon, 5/25/06. This is a view to the west from the top of the stairs coming out of the summit parking lots. As you can see there is still a substantial amount of snow that we are dealing with in order to get open for cars to the summit. It seems likely at this point that we will have guided tours available to the top on Saturday, and unlikely that we will get open to private cars to the top at that time. We're working to get fully open for all vehicles but that cannot happen until we have full two lane width free of ice and snow and reasonably dry gravel sections. The Glen View Cafe, gift shops and climbing wall will all be open this weekend - come on up and say "Hi".
