More snow falls and more on the way.
April continues to throw us more weather curve balls as we attempt to get the Road open. (Actually, I think they're Dice-K gyroballs.) Almost a foot of new snow at the base yesterday, which means there is no doubt more up on the Road between 2 and 4 mile. Normally, we would dive right into to clearing the new snow, but have you seen the forecast? Meteorologists are throwing around the term "Nor'easter." That means more snow on the way, and more snow in our way. We're going to wait out the storm and see what happens. Right now, it looks like our next trip up the Road won't be until Wednesday. Not what we had planned, but you have to roll with the punches. Keep watching the forecast, and we'll let you know what happens here in Pinkham Notch.

We had some snow up here in Maine, but it was total rubbish, at least here in Damariscotta. Already melting. Are you guys still skiing out there, or is it too wet?

No more skiing at Great Glen Trails—we are officially closed. Although a few staff members did get out and explore a bit. I know that some alpine areas have extending their season, and I'm certain this will boost the season in Tuckerman Ravine.
